Wet N' Wild Fergie Perfect Pout Lipstick Review & Swatches

Here was another impulse drugstore purchase...Note:  I usually end up disliking most drugstore lippies (except for Maybelline Color Vivids), but these babies are fantastic!

Wet N' Wild Fergie Perfect Pout Lipsticks come in shiny chrome plastic tubes.  They are LE for Spring 2013 and are part of Fergie's Centerstage collection.  The lipsticks never go all the way down, so be careful when you open them because it's easy to nick the top of the lipsticks with the cap.  I picked up 4 colors, which were the only pink/coral colors available in the collection.

***********************************************************************************

V.I.Pink - Baby Pink color.  This was my least favorite of the 4.  Although the color applies smoothly and is not patchy, I found that it was the most drying and settled a little bit into lines.  The color is the type to draw out the yellow in your teeth.  The color itself was pretty and reminded me of a slightly darker St. Germain or Raspberry Swirl.

Penthouse Sweet - Clean pink color.  This applied very smoothly and reminded me a lot of Mac's Silly lipstick (Fashion Sets 2013) but slightly more muted.  If you like barbie pinks, but you're afraid of how bright it is, this might be a good one for you.  This wasn't particularly moisturizing, but it wasn't completely drying either.  Not a favorite to wear due to the slightly drying formula (nothing a little lip balm underneath cant fix), but I will keep it around because the color is nice.

Fuschanista - Bright Purplish-Pink Fuschia.  This is really bright & dark & rich (if that makes sense)!  It reminds me so much of Mac's Embrace Me (Fashion Sets 2013), which I didn't have available to swatch and also reminds me of a more purple version of Mac's Moxie.  The finish was very very creamy.  Actually, it was the most creamy & moisturizing of the 4 I have.  It left the most pigmented stain on my lips after taking it off.  I swatched these before writing the review, and I didn't even think about a dead-on similar color to this.... Lime Crime Centrifuschia!  I swatched the 2 at home and they were almost identical aside from the finish.  Lime Crime was more satiny.

Old School Glam - Bright Coral.  I have a serious weakness for anything coral or orange, so this was an easy favorite.  Like Fuschanista, the formula was rich, creamy, and smooth to apply.  It left a reddish stain on my lips after taking it off.  I've swatched this next to Mac's Ablaze (Fashion Sets 2013) and they were a pretty close match.  Old School Glam had a satin finish while Ablaze is a matte finish and the color seems more "amplified."  Bottom line... I L.O.V.E. THIS!

Here are the swatches.

Top Row:  Embrace Me Lipglass (hope this helps to show the similarity, since I didnt have the lipstick to swatch)

Middle Row:  Old School Glam, Fuschanista, Penthouse Sweet, V.I.Pink

Bottom Row:  Ablaze, Moxie, Silly

Overall, the darker colors are creamier & more moisturizing than the lighter shades.  The darker shades also stain the lips.  I wore Fuchanista all day, took a shower at night, and woke up with my lips still pink.  Same thing happened with Old School Glam, but I woke up with reddish tinted lips.
